Maree Dawes

Maree Dawes is an Albany poet who has been working on links between art and poetry for several years. She studied writing at Murdoch University and the University of Western Australia. Maree also holds degrees in Psychology and Education. Her poetry has been per-formed, recorded and published locally, nationally and internationally, and has often been honoured with awards and recommendations. In 2007 her short story I am so sweet and truthful and once I was betrayed was published in the inaugural volume of indigo journal: the new journal of West Australian writing, and subsequently chosen for The Best Australian Stories 2007 published by Black Inc.
